PHOENIX (AP) — An Arizona county prosecutor says the former owner of Seattle’s now defunct Impact indoor soccer team has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for sexually assaulting two young women he hired to babysit his children.
A jury in August found Dion Earl guilty of sexual assault, public sexual indecency and two counts each of kidnapping and assault. Maricopa County Attorney Allister Adel said the 47-year-old was sentenced Friday.
The assaults at Earl’s home in Mesa occurred about five weeks apart in the fall of 2017 and involved two women, ages 18 and 21.
Police said the pair did not know each other and came forward with their allegations separately.
