There will be plenty of opportunities for eating, drinking and mingling at the 2019 azcentral Wine & Food Experience, a two-day culinary event taking place at Salt River Fields near Scottsdale.
On Saturday, Nov. 2 and Sunday, Nov. 3, visitors will have the chance to watch cooking demonstrations led by local chefs and taste creations offered by dozens of restaurants this year.
A few celebrities from the food and wine world will also make an appearance. Here’s what you can expect at the annual culinary event.

Meet ‘Chopped’ and ‘Queer Eye’ celebrities
If you’ve ever wanted to meet some of the chefs you see on your TV, you’ll have a chance at the two-day event.
On Saturday, Alex Guarnaschelli, a judge on Food Network’s “Chopped,” will hold a meet and greet for Chef’s Package ticket holders at 11:30 a.m., and later will host a cooking demo open to all attendees at 1:15 p.m.
On Sunday at 11:30 a.m., Chef’s Package ticket holders can also meet Antoni Porowski, whose claim to fame is his role as the food and wine expert on Emmy-award winning Netflix series “Queer Eye.”
He will also hold a cooking demonstration for all visitors at 1:15 p.m. on Sunday.
Sip wine with industry experts
Festival-goers also can head to “The Cellar” to learn about wine from the pros. David Lynch and Ian Cauble will host a “Drink like a Somm” seminar, as well as an informal Q&A session in the VIP lounge.
Lynch is a two-time James Beard Award recipient. Cauble is one of the stars of Netflix documentary film “SOMM” and a Master Sommelier, one of the most difficult distinctions in the world that a sommelier can achieve.
Attendees can also hang out with the Bella Twins, a pair of former professional wrestlers for WWE. They retired earlier in 2019, but they’re still pursuing their other passion: wine.
The Bellas own a wine label called Belle Radici and certainly enjoy a tipple on their E! reality shows “Total Divas” and “Total Bellas.”
