The driver of a fuel truck who suffered severe burns in an explosion on Tuesday has died, Phoenix police officials confirmed Wednesday.
According to police, Miguel Ramirez, 40, received severe burn injuries after a fuel truck explosion early Tuesday near North 39th and West Clarendon avenues.
Officials said Ramirez was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
“At this time, there is no suspicion of foul play and the cause of the explosion is under investigation,” said Sgt. Maggie Cox, a spokeswoman for the department.
