A 21-year-old woman died and two people were detained by Phoenix police after a shooting Monday morning at Central Avenue apartment complex.
Police responded to a reported shooting around 6:15 a.m. at an apartment complex near 8000 South Central Avenue, according to a Phoenix police news release.
Officers found a 21-year-old woman critically wounded by gunfire. She was taken to a hospital where she died.
Police said evidence showed that drug activity was involved in the fatal shooting.
Two people were detained for questioning, according to police, but no arrests have been made.
